This is around about how many and what mats you need to go from 1 to 450 in inscription.

*110 to 115 herbs that make Alabaster Pigment

*75 to 80 herbs that make Dusky Pigment

*200 to 210 herbs that make Golden Pigment

*205 to 210 herbs that make Emerald Pigment

*155 to 160 herbs that make Violet Pigment

*100 to 110 herbs that make Silvery Pigment

*255 to 260 herbs that make Nether Pigment

* 380 to 400 herbs that make Azure Pigment

Now we get to go onto the fun stuff and actually make the items to increase our level in inscription. There are many items that will make you level your inscription, these are just the ones that I choose to use to make my way up the crafting world.

1-19                  Ivory Ink = 18 Alabaster Pigment

19-35               Scroll of Stamina = 16 Ivory Ink and 16 Light Parchment

35-53               Moonglow Ink = 44 Alabaster Pigment

53-75              Armor Vellum = 22 Moonglow Ink and 44 Light Parchment

75-80              Midnight Ink = 40 Dusky Pigment

80-100           Make any orange glyph at this spot and at 90 train and make the next orange glyph till 100 = 20 Midnight Ink and 20 Light Parchment

100-105         Lion’s Ink = 160 Golden Pigment

105-120         Again make any glyph that is orange when they turn yellow train and get the new orange gliph and make it = 20 Lion’s Ink and 20 Common Parchment

120-125         Alright on this one you will be making a yellow glyph till you get to 125 should only take 7 or 8 tries

125-133         Make any glyph that is orange till you at this point

133-141          Strange Tarrot = 16 Lion’s Ink, 8 Dawnstar Ink and 8 Common Parchment

141-150         Glyph of Lightning Bolt = 26 Lion’s Ink and 26 Common Parchment

150-155         Jadefire Ink = 120 Emerald Pigment

155-175         I would make scrolls or glyph that are orange and only use 1 Jadefire Ink

175-185         Make Indigo Pigment into Royal Ink then make Arcane Tarrot

185-190         Glyph of Sap = 10 Jadefire Ink

190-200        Glyph of Revenge = 26 Jadefire Ink

200-205        Celestial Ink = 100 Violet Pigment

205-210         Armor Vellum II = 5 Celestial Ink and 10 Common Parchment

210-215         Glyph of Sinister Strike = 5 Celestial Ink and 5 Heavy Parchment

215-220         Glyph of Searing Pain = 5 Celestial Ink and 5 Heavy Parchment

220-225         Glyph of Starfire = 5 Celestial Ink and 5 Heavy Parchment

225-228         Fiery Ink = 12 Ruby Pigment

228-230        Scroll of Agility = 2 Celestial Ink and 2 Heavy Parchment

230-235        Glyph of Dispel Magic = 5 Celestial Ink and 5 Heavy Parchment

235-247        Weapon Vellum II = 12 Celestial Ink, 12 Fiery Ink and 24 Heavy Parchment

247-250        Glyph of Cleaving = 4 Celestial Ink and 4 Heavy Parchment

250-255         Shimmering Ink = 50 Silvery Pigment

255-260         Scroll of Spirit II = 5 Shimmering Ink and 10 Heavy Parchment

260-275        Any orange glyph or scroll your preferance

275-285         Ink of Sky = 10 Sapphire Pigment

285-290         Glyph of Sprint = 5 Shimmering Ink

You will need to go to Outland or Northrend to train for above 300 and then you can get back to leveling you inscription

290-305         Ethereal Ink = 110 Nether Pigment

305-325         Again any orange glyph that uses 1 Nether Pigment

325-330         Glyphs that are yellow to you

330-345         Glyphs that are orange to you that does not use much regants

345-350         Glyph of Whirlwind = 5 Ethereal Ink and 5 Resilient Parchment

350-355         Ink of Sea = 190 Azure Pigment

355-360         Scroll of Spirit VII = 5 Ink of Sea

360-365         Scroll of Intellect VII = 5 Ink of Sea and 10 Resilient Parchment

365-370         Scroll of Strength VII = 5 Ink of Sea and 10 Resilient Parchment

370-375         Scroll of Agility VII = 5 Ink of Sea and 10 Resilient Parchment

375-380         Snowfall Ink = Icy Pigment

380-385         Any glyph that will level you

385-386          Northrend Inscription Reasearch = 3 Ink of Sea, 5 Resilient Parchment and Snowfall Ink

386-387         Major Glyph Discovery = 25 Ink of Sea and 25 Resilient Parchment

From this point I would use these last two to get all the rest of my leveling in Inscription. At least that is what I did and it seemed to help out considerably.

If  you use Milling here is some info hopefully you will find usefull.

Milling takes 5 herbs and produces 2-4 pigments

Alabaster Pigment comes from Peacebloom, Silverleaf, Earthroot and Bloodthistle

Dusky Pigment and Verdant Pigment comes from Briarthorn, Bruiseweed, Mageroyal, Stranglekelp and Swiftthistle

Golden Pigment and Burnt Pigment comes from Kingsblood, Grave Moss, Liferoot and  Wild Steelbloom

Emerald Pigment and Indigo Pigment comes from Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Wintersbite and Khadgar’s Whiskers

Violet Pigment and Ruby Pigment comes from Purple Lotus, Firebloom, Arthas Tears, Sungrass, Blindweed, Ghost Mushroom and Gromsblood

Silvery Pigment and Sapphire Pigment comes from Golden Sansam, Mountain Silversage, Dreamfoil, Icecap and Plaguebloom

Nether Pigment and Ebon Pigment comes from all the outland herbs

Azure Pigment and Icy Pigment comes from all the northrend herbs

First of all I need to cover the fact that you do have to pay for this guide. In the end it is well worth it. I personally went from making just enough gold to get by to end up owning everything I want and being able to support my guild. Also with this guide you don’t have to spend a whole bunch of time in game. So if you are like me and don’t have much time to play, having a hard time making gold to buy mounts and support your alts at minimum check it out.

There were many hours of my time spent trying to farm items to sell on the auction house. I still never seemed to keep up with others. Not now though cause I am able to keep up with others and I don’t have to spend so much of my time devoted to playing world of warcraft. This guide taught me the techniques to be able to do what I and most others would like to do.

Sorry I can’t say much more on how to do these techniques but that would be infrenging on the rights of the makers of this guide. I personally used this guide to mainly get gold but they also cover pvp. So if you don’t mind at least just check out the guide at minimum and if you don’t like it don’t buy it.
